History of Polyester and Microfiber

Carothers, an employee of DuPont, discovered how to create fibers by combining alcohols with carboxyl acids. While initially experimental, British scientists C.G. Ritchie and W.K. Microfiber, in comparison, is a relatively modern fabric that rose to prominence in recent decades. Its origins remain somewhat mysterious, with various claims attributing its invention to Japanese researchers in the 1970s, English developers in the 1980s, or Swedish innovators who first marketed microfiber fabrics in the 1990s.

Regardless of its exact origins, microfiber has firmly established itself in the textile industry, valued for its practical features and numerous advantages in both industrial and consumer applications.
